Sam is a compassionate counselor rooted in values of humility, mercy, and clinical excellence.

Her own healing journey has given her a profound passion for people struggling to find freedom from their pain, fear, and relational strongholds. She believes each of her clients is capable of healing and is committed to standing alongside them as a fellow sojourner while also implementing evidence-based therapy and offering tools to heal, grow, and thrive. Sam has experience with couples, anxiety, family systems issues, premarital counseling, spiritual trauma, and OCD.

Sam’s therapeutic approach is trauma-informed and rooted in family systems theory. She believes in drawing from various modalities including emotion-focused therapy, exposure and response prevention therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. Sam also has personal experience with interracial and intercultural marriage and is also comfortable implementing biblical and spiritual elements according to her clients’ preferences.

Sam and her husband live in Highland Park with their three young daughters.
