Christopher Brown
M.S. Professional Counseling Intern
Every day is a blessing and an opportunity for a fresh start, but sometimes it does not feel that way. Life brings happiness and joy, but it also challenges us and presents difficulties that feel overwhelming at times. Sometimes life experiences affect us in ways we do not expect, leading to conflicting or confusing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Consequently, we can become stuck and struggle to find meaning or a sense of control while enduring difficulties.
Chris is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you are encouraged to express yourself freely. Through an attuned and collaborative approach, Chris works alongside you to uncover your strengths, build resilience, and begin regaining control in your life. Together, we will focus on your goals, improve daily functioning, and ultimately enhance your overall well-being.
With a background as a retired Navy veteran, Chris has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by military members and their families. Whether you are still serving or have transitioned to civilian life, he is equipped to offer compassionate support. Chris is well-versed in the effects of PTSD and other "invisible" injuries, and he is passionate about listening to, sharing space with, and helping individuals who have experienced trauma find healing.
Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, as well as reading and traveling. He also values taking time each day to appreciate the peace and serenity of nature, either through a good walk or time spent sitting on his back deck.
