Mary Hood, NCC
M.Ed. School Counseling
Life can sometimes feel overwhelming—filled with confusion, anxiety, or seasons of grief. Mary’s heart is to walk alongside you on your journey, helping you discover everyday peace, renewed hope, and a deeper sense of fulfillment. Using evidence-based techniques, she works with clients to uncover their highest potential while finding strength and joy in the process.
Drawing from her personal experiences and professional training, Mary meets each client with compassion and understanding. She helps individuals identify and reframe negative thought patterns, creating space for new perspectives, healing, and meaning in life. Cancer is an area of focus for her, due to her own battle with the disease. Mary is eager to help you find hope again. Her other areas of focus include trauma, grief, motherhood, and couples counseling.
For Mary, hope is more than a word—it is a vital part of life and healing. She is passionate about helping clients rediscover their own sense of hope in a safe, welcoming environment that values the therapeutic relationship. For those who desire, Mary also offers the option of integrating a Christian faith-based framework into counseling.
Mary stays active attending football, baseball, soccer and basketball games all year with her husband of many years and three boys. She is also involved in her church, attending women's groups and volunteering with the kids ministry. She is also eager to spread love through her cooking and baking.
